POSITION OVERVIEW:Working in a global environment, this position serves as a primary contact to our business partners in the Finance and Accounting process area. The person in this position works with our business partners to define and scope objectives for system solutions to meet business requirements in Finance, Accounting, Banking and Tax. The candidate must support all phases of a project life cycle including design, development, testing, training and documentation. Experience integrating with other modules such as SD is highly recommended. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide business analysis and process design/redesign expertise in one or more functional areas within the enterprise, specifically in the analysis of SAP FICOMaintain consistency of the Finance configuration area across all business units globallyConfigure processes within R/3 (Finance module) on scheduleAct as a liaison between IT and our business partnersManage functional projects thru the project lifecycle as lead from start to finish for smaller projectsMonitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.Project activities including:Providing accurate project estimatesSystem configuration, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance, and deploymentTransitioning projects to ongoing run mode at completion of projects and providing post-implementation support as neededLead continuous improvement opportunities and appropriately challenge processes to ensure global consistencyTroubleshoot complex business and technical problemsSupport SAP implementations, rollouts and upgradesEnd user support for issues pertaining to Finance as neededDevelop and retain relevant SAP skills including participating in user groups, training, conferences and professional associationsDevelop, and adhere to McCormick IT standards and processesCross train other associates where / when appropriate REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: . A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience6+ years of SAP FI-CO experience with an emphasis on design, configuration and troubleshootingExperience in at least 3 full life cycle SAP FI-CO implementations, including testing, training and documentationExperience with:Preparation of functional specificationsFinancial Accounting Global settingsConfiguration and testing of FI module; GL, AR, APCredit Management settingsIntegration of FI with MM, SDBank interfaces (lockbox/EDI/International wire)Input, Output tax and Withholding TaxMonthly, quarterly and annual close activitiesRaising OSS Notes for issues and working with SAP to resolve incidentsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to translate complex business concepts and technical terms.Good knowledge of SAP structures, configuration standards, object dependencies and experience with user exits, security PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Functional ABAP skills ability to debug code, investigate user exitsInternational SAP project experienceEDI and interface knowledge - (iDOCS) Current McCormick employees who meet these qualifications and are interested in pursuing this position must notify their direct supervisor and their unit HR representative prior to applying.
