The Sales Manager is an integral member of the Sales team that leads the growth and management of PTI's business with key national accounts. Primary responsibilities include: * Actively promote the sale of the company's products by seeking growth with existing customers and generating new sales leads and business opportunities.* Implement a sales program and set sales goals utilizing the company's planning and communication tools.* Develop sales presentations in a professional and effective manner, to include maintaining up to date awareness of company activities, industry trends, and other relative issues for assigned accounts.* Consult constantly with customers after sales meetings to resolve open issues, provide continuing support and solutions, and manage customer expectations.* Work in partnership with the Product Management and Design teams to ensure that product development resources are maximized to meet customer needs, fill assortment gaps and emerging trends, and produce incremental sales at retail.* Participate in the development of company marketing materials as a means to help promote new business initiatives or procure new sales prospects.* Work with the appropriate customers and the company's planning team to forecast customer inventory and planning requirements, with the goals to maximize inventory turn and reduce inventory liabilities.* Communicate weekly business development progress through a weekly sales update and sales forecast management tool.* Work with Accounting and Operations staff on assigned account chargeback, credit, collections and customer service issues. Skills and Experience Required: * Prior experience calling on CPG national accounts and/or grocers. * Self-motivated, goal oriented and aggressive.* Inspire others with enthusiasm and positive energy. * Ability to understand PTIs markets, customers and trends * Ability to connect to key networks to drive sales. * Track record of exceeding objectives.* Must communicate effectively and demonstrate the ability to build consensus, while balancing company and customer objectives.* Able to clearly present product information in an enticing manner.* Ability to identify and prioritize selling opportunities.* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. * 25% travel required. * Position could be based out of home office or out of the PTI Rockville, MD Headquarters Company Description: Pacific Trade International (PTI) is a fully integrated, multi-branded, global innovator of high fragrance, fragrance technology, and home decor products.
