B&R Construction Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Superintendent. The purpose of this position is to oversee and direct the performance of all field construction activities for assigned crafts in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Safety: . Lead jobsite safety meetings . Review trade contractor's safety program and MSDS information prior to project startup. . Insure job safety requirements are understood and implemented by all project personnel and trade contractors. . Watch for and correct all safety hazards on the jobsite. . Report all safety incidents and violations to the safety officer. . Strive for zero jobsite injuries. General:Working knowledge and background of the assigned work and the ability to resolve complex issues.Analyze, identify and forecast pertinent issues and evaluate realistic options. Recommend/implement appropriate course of action.Assist in the development and monitoring of project schedules. Inclusive of material/equipment procurement and work sequence/duration of activities.Review the plans, specification and schedules for constructability. Advise project team of any issues or deficiencies.Review and understand contractual obligations between the client and B&R services.Review and understand project estimate and budget.Review and understand trade contractor scope of work.Communicate with trade contractors.Oversee field coordination.Coordinate trade contractors and vendor deliveries.Provide technical expertise throughout the project.Maintain a positive relationship with the client and construction team.Insure quality control throughout the project.Coordinate closely with the project management team, client and architect to establish the punch list and close out procedures.Maintain a zero punchlist Requirements:10 to 15 years of related experience, commercial construction experience preferred.Comprehend building plans, job specifications, proposals, change orders, etc.Ability to maintain job files in order to track project(s) and retrieve historical data when necessary.Ability to make most decisions with minimal or no supervision. Able to effectively prioritize tasks with limited input from management.Use best practices and company procedures to ensure timely completion of the project(s).Must have high level of interpersonal skills.Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.Ability to resolve conflict in professional, timely manner.Must be able to work with multiple priorities.Team player.Self starter with the ability to set goals and follow up on project issues.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.Knowledge of scheduled and manpower allocation.
