Current Opening: Full-time Licensed HVAC Technician with Top Secret Clearance and with Journeyman-level experience needed in Government Contract at military installation in Washington, DC. Scope: The Lead HVAC Technician will be responsible to provide HVAC preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repairs for established site at Government military facility as well as on demand service using accepted industry standard methods and following the manufacturers' and/or Federal Government guidelines on facility HVAC equipment. The Lead HVAC Technician will respond to client requests assigned in a safe, efficient, clean and professional manner. Duties:Responsible for performing work safely and reporting to the Project Manager any observed safety and security problemsOn call and carrying a mobile telephone to respond to after hour callsRecord on service tickets and work log reports daily activities and per job recordsMaintain accurate lists, security and stocking levels of HVAC service tools and consumable suppliesPerform preventative maintenance to commercial HVAC equipment including but not limited to chillers, heat pumps, split systems, roof top units, air handling units, pumps, cooling towers, VAV systems, etc.Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC equipment failures including schematic controls wiring diagrams. Replace or adjust defective or worn parts to repair systemsMaintain chemical water treatment program at the direction of the Project ManagerOperation, repair and preventative maintenance of the Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler and emergency Generator systemsOperation and repair of Energy Management SystemsLifting and moving of materials, supplies, and equipment minimum 75 lbs.Any reasonable assignment or request related to the building operation as directed by the Client, any company executive, the Project ManagerBe available to respond to emergency calls and administer an after-hours emergency response call list. Job Requirements:Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the commercial / government HVAC tradeHigh school diploma or equivalentCommunicate effectively in English in speaking and writingAbility to diagnose refrigeration systems, air distribution systems and equipment controlsAble to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons, evenings and weekends as neededMust be able to work on-call shifts as scheduledCommunicate effectively in English in speaking and writingPossess current, valid driver's license (not under suspension or limitation)Good physical condition with ability to lift 75 lbs. and possessing good fine motor coordination and ability to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, heights, and confined spacesU.S. Citizen or approved registered alienAbility to pass drug screening and Federal Government criminal background check with no felony records Required License or Certification:Journeyman Mechanical License (minimum)Masters Mechanical (preferred)Universal CFC Certification licenseR410 A CertificationActive TS/SCI clearance - mandatory Company Description: SDAC provides a total, integrated solution for cost-effective facility maintenance solutions to meet government needs.
