Defense Contract Writing Analyst Position Description Seeking new members for roles as Defense Contract Writing Analyst(s) and Procurement Systems Analyst(s) who will provide functional and systems design input to CGI Federal's defense contract writing software solution - Momentum Acquisitions.Momentum Acquisitions is an end-to-end full lifecycle software suite that manages acquisitions planning and contracts from initial requirement through closeout. Momentum is a secure and adaptable (configurable) system with multiple world-wide federal implementations and hundreds of successful systems integrations that have improved agency back-office operations. Momentum Acquisitions is in use today across all three branches of the federal government including intelligence agencies and has (is) processing billions of dollars in federal acquisitions actions on a yearly basis.These positions will act as task leaders and overarching specialist applying their knowledge of military procurement operations to our projects and our built-for-federal Momentum Acquisitions software. Your future duties and responsibilities Specific activities could include but are not limited to: requirements analysis, functional specification creation, demonstration script writing and execution, test script and execution, and functional user support. Specialized experience includes demonstrated experience in editing documents, including technical documents. Collects and organizes technical information required for preparation of reports, read-aheads, proposals, or technical analyses. Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts and client stakeholders. Research, analyze, and document DoD policy. Design, conduct and implement business process reengineering (BPR) and continuous process improvement (CPI) initiatives to improve DoD procurement processes. Assist DoD with designing, developing, implementing, and overseeing DoD programs. Write and present briefings and whitepapers on DoD procurement topics. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Requirements:- SME level understanding of full lifecycle federal contracting operations. - Experience with multiple DOD acquisitions systems and processes. - Experience working on project teams and/or functional teams for systems design.- Bachelors degree plus 8-12 years of directly related experience in the DoD marketplace. - Experience with Contract Writing System configuration and briefing senior leaders. - Knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions, as related to actual events - Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance - Detailed oriented - Strong communication skills - Training experience - Efficiency with Microsoft Products-Ability to work with multiple overlapping protocols for communications and publication and facilitate productive in-person sessions with diverse stakeholders Desired Skills:- Capable of working in multidiscipline team environment - Capable of working with stakeholders at all levels -Membership and/or leadership representation in contracting professional associations is highly desired (NCMA and others)*LI-SS1 At CGI, we're a team of builders.
