Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Project Manager will direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for designing, planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and completing quality engineering solutions and projects to support manufacturing and corporate facilities and systems. Understand and develop projects with multiple disciplines and works within cross functional teams. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily: Effectively manage capital projects via the O2O process.Develop and maintain documentation for all projects. Avoid scope creep and keep projects focused. Determine equipment/process/system design and specifications, customer contract requirements, code requirements, laws, and other appropriate requirements. Accurately estimate, track, communicate, and control project budget. Obtain equipment and contractor quotes. Pursue cost savings in all areas. Accurately plan, track, coordinate, communicate and comply with project timeline to include identifying critical path and key milestones. Accurately determine material requirements for each phase of project. Proactively ensure material resources are available in a timely manner to support project. Provide direction and drive project to completion. Coordinate activities and resources. Manage project sub-contractors when necessary. Institute regular contact with stakeholders. Maintain detailed, complete, and timely records. Provide regular project updates to stakeholders. Provide or assist with preparation of cost justification for projects as required. Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of appropriate project management and engineering tools (Microsoft Projects, AutoCAD, etc.) and engineering processes (budgeting, planning, etc.) Core Proficiencies and SkillsThe Project Manager is required to interact with other managers, employees, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.Computer usage and typing skills are essential, as is an excellent grasp of English in both written and oral formats.Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: A Bachelor's degree is a requirement for this position, preferably in engineering or related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, engineering or operations is also required.
