POSITION OVERVIEW: Under general direction, is responsible for developing upstream marketing plans based on business objectives and strategies, creating commercialization tools for new and existing products, identifying new product and/or new market opportunities, participating in the new product development processes and managing the expense budget for the product line. Performs special tasks and other assignments as required ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Drives the development and execution of upstream marketing plans and selling tools for respective product lines. Analyzes market data to identify key business drivers & growth opportunities. Undertakes market and competitive analysis to ensure pricing strategies position brands in the marketplace to optimize revenue and market share. Sets pricing for new products globally. Participates on product development teams to ensure customer needs are at the heart of new product designs. Leads the development of new product launch plans ensuring multi-functional collaboration. Make sound decisions based on analysis, experience, judgment and knowledge of the industry to set short and long-term brand strategy. Establishes messaging for new products in alignment with brand identity. Develops and maintains relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and dental practitioners to ensure market preparedness for new product launches and effective post launch feedback to enhance the product functionality and profitability. If managing subordinates, develops the skills and abilities of subordinates and effectively utilizes the performance management system. Develops and recommends specific marketing objectives and forecast for products sold, manages the execution of authorized marketing programs to achieve or exceed sales volume and profit margin requirements. Utilizes co-travel, market research, tradeshows, dental visits and sales data to gain deeper customer insights that are utilized in product and business decision making in key countries. RELATED DUTIES: Provides monthly reports by describing details of activity within his/her market. Other reports will be submitted when appropriate. Manage expense spending to stay within predetermined budget Manage market research vendors May have supervisory responsibility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Training and Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field. Minimum of 5 years of business experience with preference to marketing. Experience in product management preferably in a medical device industry, global experience preferred. Demonstrated experience writing business or upstream marketing plans. Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio generating $10 Million in annual revenue. Ability to work independently, as well as within a team. Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and make logical decisions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Required to travel 20%-25%. Often required to sit, stand, and walk. Occasionally required to lift 30 pounds without assistance. WORKING CONDITIONS: Office environment as well as manufacturing plant environment with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust, and atmospheric conditions.
