Regional Sales Manager
The Regional Sales Manager will be instrumental in helping to drive demand and generate growth of Camp Invention's pre K -12 education/enrichment marketplace in the Eastern Region. S/he will have direct responsibility for increasing professional development and credibility nationwide, while working closely with territory representatives to expand the designated market. Position Responsibilities: Regional Program Development (70%)Works closely with territory representatives, drives and increases sales of the education programs in assigned pre-12 districts; identifies opportunities for expansion within the educational marketplace, building partnerships at the regional and state level particularly in the districted funded arenaCommunicates the National Inventors Hall of Fame's mission and value to a broad audience, delivering messaging that connects with our target audience of parents, students, educators, and school administrators Initiates and follows up on leads via phone, email and in person visitsExpands the reach and impact of the program while managing and supporting existing the customer baseTrains and motivates program staff to drive enrollment and ensure delivery of a first rate experience, leaving children and parents completely satisfied with their camp experienceAssists in marketing efforts; attends conferences to promote programManages administrative logistics of establishing and running camps, inclusive of marketing, training, and distribution of program materials Meets and exceeds sales targetsManages a regional budgetAbility to travel Professional Development (30%)Participates fully in the design and implementation of a comprehensive professional development model that situates the National Inventors Hall of Fame as the authority in the pre-12 STEM and creativity arenaDelivers professional developmentWorks within the National professional development and credibility initiativesProvides insight and recommendations for district level initiatives nationally Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of the education market and or local educational communitiesSuperior interpersonal and business communication skills that are customer centricAbility to see the big picture while managing day-to-day logistics Credentials and Experience:Bachelor's degree in an education related fieldMinimum two years sales and business development experience with a proven track record of growth and reaching sales goalsDeep knowledge of the education market and regional educational communitiesGeographic territory sales experienceExperience managing, motivating, and mentoring staffSuperior interpersonal and business communication skills that are customer centricAbility to see the big picture while managing day-to-day logistics Special Requirements:Prefer candidates with contacts in the educational field/market Company Description: The National Inventors Hall of Fame is a dynamic nonprofit organization that offers its employees, interns, and volunteers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to inspire creativity and innovation in America.
