Senior Acquisition Specialist with experience supporting major FAA National Airspace System (NAS) acquisitions. The successful candidate must possess the intelligence, energy, and drive necessary to succeed in a growing company. Position Responsibilities Work within a highly professional, creative team of acquisition and engineering professionals to develop FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) documentation to support major NAS acquisitions. This includes the following: Develop Statements of Work (SOWs) and Statements of Objectives (SOOs) to support complex acquisitions of FAA NAS systems. Prepare Screening Information Requests (SIRs) including the development of all necessary SIR sections, statements of work, and evaluation criteria. Generate model contracts as an integrated part of the SIR to support source-selection. Conduct SIR activities from review of vendor submissions through down-select. Review vendor documentation for responsiveness to evaluation criteria, cost realism, and technical capabilities. Position Requirements Demonstrated experience with FAA's AMS (Acquisition Management System) Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with internal clients Ability to think strategically and act tactically Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Ability and desire to work as a member of project teams including frequent contact with project team members, engineering managers, and system vendors Bachelor's degree Candidates must be able to work on-site at client sites located in and around Washington, DC and must be able to obtain a US Federal government client badge and may be required to pass a government background investigation Desired Qualifications Experience within the FAA Air Traffic Organization Program Management Office (PMO) is a plus. Familiarity with FAA NAS surveillance architecture is a plus.
