Overview:The Director of Ambulatory Applications provides guidance of the design, implementation and support of all Clinical and Practice Management Applications in the Ambulatory space of Physician Practices. This role acts in a supervisory role for managers, leads, and analysts. This position will lead, assign and monitor work for the Ambulatory Applications support/project teams. Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of assigned application packages, they serve as a liaison between end users and implementation staff, and provide guidance and training to junior level staff. This position is recognized as a leader internally and externally for assigned applications and often provides strategic direction, guidance and integration of products and services. As a member of the leadership team, this position also has responsibility for the success of the broader Ambulatory IT projects (ie outside their assigned application). This position supports the mission and vision of the organization with their team members.Responsibilities:* Assist Executive Leadership in managing the scope, cost, schedule, quality, and success of the Ambulatory IT Staff and Projects* Demonstrate organizational agility by means of internal and external networking to grow the organization's brand* Actively work on all aspects of project implementations and support* Be accountable for leading collaborative efforts with Ambulatory IT Staff and other members of the IT Team* Communicate appropriately with other team directors with regard to shared work and dependencies across multiple groups* Participate in and oversee the Change Management Process* Provide oversight for issue resolution within and across teams and escalate as appropriate* Provide direction to the team to establish priorities in accordance with operational needs* Work collaboratively with the technical teams to coordinate software updates and changes* Ensure that all new releases and enhancements are thoroughly reviewed and tested* Actively engage the training staff (Super Users) by including them in team meetings and workflow validation* Ensure that teams are partnering with operational counterparts regarding potential system enhancement needs* Proactively research new functionality to guide whether or how it should be used* Ensure that data interfacing into and out of Athena (and other applications) meets business needs* Provide on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades* Assist with all Quality Assurance processes* Participate and /or facilitate user meetings; participate in internal team meetings* Meet regularly with the analyst team* Perform human resource management of the staff, including performance reviews, action plans, as appropriate, and professional development. Provide timely and respectful feedback for other team members* Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability for team expenses and budgets* Serve as a role model for peers and team members* Understand and support the organizational cultureQualifications:* BS Computer Science, Information Systems or related field* Minimum five years Information Systems experience* Previous IT management experienceOptions:Posted by StartWire.
