To help them meet their growing customer needs, our client is seeking qualified individuals with a strong Systems Engineering/Computer Science background and Information System Security (ISS) experience. Overview Full time positions available at various experience levels to provide ISS support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), including performing ISS Risk Assessments and Security Testing & Evaluation, and providing ISS Architecture Support. System types/technologies assessed include telecommunications, networking, client/server, web-based, automation, operating systems, databases, and custom and off-the-shelf applications. Job RequirementsBS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field;Must have a minimum of 5 years related experience;Working Knowledge of NIST RMF and NIST Publications, including NIST 800-37 and NIST 800-53a.;Strong oral communications and written skills are required;Must have the ability to interact with government agency personnel;Solutions-focused with strong analytical abilities;Experience with conducting C&A Information Security Risk Assessments in accordance with NIST guidelines utilizing the appropriate set of NIST 800-53 Security Controls;Experienced conducting security site surveys and interviews;Proficiency with reviewing and analyzing security documentation such as SSP, ISCPs, and SCDs;Ability to plan and conduct security testing on various sized networks and systems using automated tools such as Nessus and HP WebInspect;Experience performing data analysis and developing recommendations and supporting documents;Ability to provide systems security engineering support to specific system program offices for implementation of technical and operational security controls;Experience assisting in developing system POAExperience in assessing security remediation recommendations and assessing impacts of risk acceptance requests;Ability to perform solution alternatives analysis, and supporting solution implementation efforts;Well versed with ISS controls for assets including operating systems, databases, and networking equipment;Must be able to demonstrate strong initiative to plan and coordinate program activities with FAA headquarters, regional, and field personnel. Desired Qualifications:Previous FAA experience, consulting skills, telecommunications systems knowledge, computer systems knowledge, and familiarity with ISS concepts;Knowledge of the National Airspace System (NAS) and industry security standards a plus.;Security Certifications, such as CISSP.
