Energy Auditor Energy Services Group, Hanover, MD Position Summary: Perform comprehensive Home Energy Audits, analyze data, create Beacon reports and work scopes with recommended improvements. Inspect existing homes for energy efficiency, air leakage, indoor air quality and HVAC combustion and safety testing using our diagnostic equipment. Install light bulbs, shower heads, and other energy efficient measures during the audit. Input data into the Beacon system and create appropriate work scopes for homeowners with recommendations for energy efficiency and comfort improvements. Effectively communicate building science applications to wide audience including general public, sales, management, and install crews. This job requires being able to lift up to 40lbs, and climbing on ladders. A mechanical or scientific background is helpful. Previous experience is preferred, but willing to train the right person. Requirements: Must have an active Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst Certification. A valid drivers license Ability to pass drug screen and background inspection. A self-starter with the ability to keep on task independently and complete reports in a timely matter. Excellent communicator that is capable of explaining building science details both orally and in written format. Solid foundation in utilizing Microsoft Office products, with a particular focus on Word and Excel. A basic understanding of residential home construction.
