JOB DESCRIPTION: CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT For Consideration send resume: Purpose: Manage jobsite operations to achieve project goals Responsibilities A. Preconstruction Phase: < Review drawings and specifications to provide input on costs and schedule < Review Bidders List and provide input < Review site logistics < Participate in subcontractors' scopes of work preparation < Perform constructability reviews < Participate in project acquisition process B. Project Start-up: < Set up office trailer, temporary power, fencing, etc. < Contact local jurisdiction and independent testing agencies for inspection requirements. < Study the drawings-build the project on paper < Review contracts and budget < Identify utility requirements and develop installation dates < Contact and organize project kick-off meeting with subcontractors and county prior to breaking ground C. Construction Phase: < Keep daily job logs < Maintain a three-week schedule that meets the project schedule's milestones and distribute weekly < Control field costs < Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination and safety meetings < Schedule and coordinate Cain'sg manpower and equipment < Monitor quality of work and perform quality control reports < Insure all work is done in compliance with drawings and specifications < Act as onsite Safety Officer < Coordinate inspections, including those required by subcontractors < Review shop drawings and submittals < Purchase miscellaneous materials and equipment and coordinate/inventory deliveries < Maintain and update current on site working set of drawings and specifications, including shop drawings < Record as-built conditions on a set of drawings on a regular basis < Coordinate utility installations and service < Work with Project Team to identify solutions to issues < Initiate Requests for Information (RFI's) to clarify documents < Participate in Owner meetings D. Project Close-out < Coordinate final inspections and Certificate of Occupancy; provide documents to Project Engineer < Coordinate punchlist correction work and subsequent re-inspections within 3 weeks < Compile accurate As-Built Documents < Coordinate equipment start-up and testing, including Owner information sessions < Transfer field files and permit drawings to office for archiving Resources < Personnel: Project Manager, Project Engineer < Equipment & Tools: Office trailer with computer & fax, cell phone, digital camera & training opportunities Reports to Senior Project Manager
