RADAR SCENARIO TEST ANALYST Job Description: Technology Service Corporation (TSC) has an immediate position for a Radar Scenario Test Analyst to perform ballistic missile scenario testing and data analysis to the AEGIS SPY radar Next Generation Simulator (NGS). The candidate must possess knowledge and demonstrated experience with radar fundamentals, especially as it relates to the AN/SPY1 radar and will use an existing MATLAB tool to compare provided truth data for ballistic missile threats to SPY tactical track data resulting from NGS inputs to the Radar Control Computer Program (RCCP). There will be occasional travel to Moorestown, NJ and Wallops Island, VA (10% - 15% or less). Additionally, knowledge of advanced radars such as Air & Missile Defense Radar (AMDR), Multi-Function Radar (MFR) and Dual Band Radar (DBR) are desired, but not required. Required Qualifications: . General Experience: o Six (6) years general Navy Combat System experience: | General Combat Systems Experience - prior experience in any of the following areas: Combat Systems Design/Engineering; Combat System Computer Program Development; Combat System Certification, Combat System Simulation Engineering; or Combat System Simulation Computer Program Development. o Six (6) years specific experience: | Specific Experience - Radar System Engineering, specifically with the AN/SPY-1 radar, AMDR, MFR, DBR or any combination of the four. o The Senior System Engineer requires the training, skill and experience necessary to conduct detailed, complex system analysis associated with Enterprise level M&S solutions. o This includes functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements documentation and distribution, market/trade studies and analysis, and establishing acceptance criteria for Modeling and Simulation (M&S) solutions.Detailed knowledge of radar fundamentals to include Radar Cross Section (RCS), Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), especially as it relates to SPY-1 and soon to be AMDR. o Demonstrated education and/or work experience with MATLAB or MATHEMATICA, and Java, C++ or an object oriented scripting language. o Ability to clearly communicate verbally and written form with the radar simulation development team, the sponsor of the radar simulation development team (V department) and the radar simulation accrediting agents (MDA and B department). oA grasp of ECI, ECEF and ENU coordinate frames Must be a US Citizen, possessing or eligible for a DOD (Secret) Security ClearanceDoD Secret Clearance is required for this position Desired Experience: In addition to the general experience listed above . A Bachelor's degree from a DoD accredited university in engineering, math or physics.Calculus II and Linear Algebra from an accredited college or university.A "100 level" college Physics understanding of ballistic motion. . AEGIS BMD 4 and/or BMD 5 experience. . Signal Processing experience. . MATLAB GUI development experience. Security Clearance: .
