Assistant Construction Manager/Superintendent
In this position you will assist in the supervision of all on-site construction, including the scheduling of sub-contractors on the job, resolving day-to-day problems on the job sit, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with pans and specifications. Five to seven year construction experience is required. College degree strongly preferred Duties and responsibilities Manage day-to-day construction and construction related activities on job sites. Communicate with, schedule, and manage all subcontractors. Work with project support to prepare necessary purchase orders required for construction. Communicate and interface with home owners for construction closeout and warranty issues. Manage field employees. Familiarity and understanding of building codes, quality control management and safety requirement as they apply to residential construction. Excellent customer service skills with a strong work ethic. Prepare and manage field contract and subcontract modifications/change orders with home buyers, partners, and subcontractors as needed. Ability to hold sub-contractors accountable for their work. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Utilize internal scheduling system to ensure timely completion of homes. Good computer skills.
