assist in all phases of large scale development projects from schematic design to construction administration; research domestic and international building codes, collect data, and write reports and presentations to incorporate research and data into architectural designs; develop site analysis studies requiring site photography, base drawings and diagrams, and site survey of existing conditions and take as built measurements; assist in all phases of urban design, mixed use regeneration, urban revitalization, and brownfield redevelopment; coordinate with and incorporate urban planning, streetscapes, land use and transportation, and open space planning design and data; assist in commercial, and corporate architectural interiors design project, including new construction, renovation, and tenant improvement, and incorporate space planning and custom detailing into designs; apply own judgment, analysis and computer skills to develop 3D building computer models and images and presentation images in metric and imperial standards; incorporate LEED sustainable design principles, strategies and data into projects, advising and coordinating sustainable building consultants to optimize energy model and lighting design model with related software, including Ecotect and AGI32; produce design documents, presentations, and construction documents including sketches, working drawings, architectural detail specifications using 2D/3D CAD and building information modeling (BIM) software, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, 3D Studio MAX, PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; produce architectural rendering and build physical model with 3d printer and laser cutter for client and design team review to catch up deadline as projects needed; research material and product for exteriors and interiors, coordinating with domestic and international vendors to translate designs into presentation packages; set-up automated parametric optimization workflows using available and custom developed scripts to connect 3D modeling tools, building environmental analysis tools and evolutionary optimization algorithms to optimize the building shape and/or building envelope and provide quick feedback on the performance to rest of the design team; participate in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and public agencies on a given project; coordinate with and assist the firm to obtain approvals from clients and regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over projects;
