Overview:Responsible for maintaining and analyzing general ledger account balances for a business unit, in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Prepares accurate monthly financial reports. Performs technical and analytical work in support of the development, interpretation, and implementation of financial and accounting processes, concepts or techniques for financial and strategic planning and control. Areas of responsibility could include intercompany, financial consolidation and reporting, revenue recognition, third party royalty reporting, cost of goods sold.Responsibilities:* Ensure an accurate and timely month end close and completion of financial statements with respect to the SPS division* Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis group for the month end close, support of the budgeting process, and support of overall Finance goals and objectives* Oversee account reconciliations related to cash activity and revenue/expense accruals* Prepare SPS cash forecast and variance analysis to actuals* Coordinate local external financial audit* Ensure compliance with accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles* Review and develop processes to maintain a strong internal financial controls environment* Assist with financial system integrations (front end system processing to back end general ledger in SAP)* Seek opportunities for continuous improvement and process efficienciesQualifications:* Knowledge of the merchant services industry (credit card and check processing)* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required* 8+ years' experience in related area* CPA designation preferred* Demonstrated application and use of industry practices, techniques and standards* Strong understanding of internal financial controls* Ability to solve complex problems using data* Comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment that changes according to business needs* Ability to develop relationships with key leaders and contributors in SPS, Sage NA and finance community* Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision* PC proficiency, including strong Excel skillsOptions:Posted by StartWire.
