Location: Washington, DC - 1500 Pennsylvania Ave. Full-time, salaried position with benefits, potential bonus & tuition reimbursement Active SECRET CLEARANCE required Blue Canopy, has a position open for a HELP DESK TECHNICIAN with SECRET clearance to support our PRIME Cyber Program located in Washington, DC Blue Canopy provides direct support to a federal agency managing a classified enclave in the Washington Metropolitan Area in support of the intelligence mission. Requirements: Providing support, guidance and recommendations for systems that update, enhance, or replace existing IT systems. Responding to incidents as directed by the COR or through ticketing system. Imaging both new and targeted recycled desktop/laptop's with a standard image Wiping data from hard drives of computers to be recycled or surplused. Backing-up/moving files on existing workstations to be replaced and/or reconfigured. Performing minor manual software installations, as directed. Swapping out existing and/or installing new desktop/laptops at designated employee office area locations including ensuring arrivals have required equipment ASAP. This may include installation of hardware that is related to other networks into secure spaces as needed to support users of TSDN Troubleshooting problems arising with hardware to determine whether they are hardware or software related, in attempting to asses and remedy the problem either remotely, or on the spot. Configuring and deploying new and/or reconfiguring existing printers. Changing PC and printer network cards. Configuring and deploying Treasury Baseline for Classified System standards as specified by the Information Systems Security Manager for Classified Systems, based on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), NSA, CNSS and other standards setting bodies. Testing and documenting all changes to the system in a test environment prior to deployment to productions. Inventorying and reconciling all newly received IT assets against purchase order information. Recording the description, serial number, customer name, barcode, vendor information, and location of all deployed/received equipment in Remedy or other asset tracking system. Ensuring that all IT equipment has Departmental Offices Office of the CIO issued barcodes affixed per policy. This will include an effort at the beginning of the Task Orderto ensure legacy equipment is 100% barcoded. Taking a yearly or more often as directed, physical inventory verifying information in database is accurate. Tracking and managing all TSDN hardware/software related warranties through Remedy or other specified asset database. Ensuring that equipment removed from the floor and absorbed back into inventory. Performing minor cable adjustment/revisions within the office structure to connect desktop/office equipment. DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required. 3+ years of IT experience including IT services and support. Clearance: US Citizen with Minimum Secret Clearance.
