Successful candidates for the Systems Engineer role should be experienced in working in a team environment and be able to play an integral part in representing our company when working in a fast-paced environment where quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are of top priority. Responsible for the provisioning, configuration, operation and maintenance of multiple client's technology resources. Assisting with the identification and development of client-side technology improvements in the preparation and execution of new IT initiatives in a collaborative setting. You will maintain and support logging, monitoring, and backup procedures. Also, you participate in the Application Development release management cycles. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Administer Microsoft Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DFS, DHCP, DNS, IIS, GPO, File Services and Print Knowledge of Microsoft Server Solutions including Exchange, SQL, CRM as well as VMware vSphere. Work trouble tickets from Service Desk application and monitor team work queue. Administer Layer 2 and 3 networking Apply updates and patches to systems regularly. Run audit reports against server environment for audit compliance. Review documentation regularly, create and update when necessary. Extensive Hardware and Software Diagnostic Skills Review daily logs, perform daily tasks and work on team projects as assigned. Monitors the system, application and network operation and manages user access to individual sources Keeps operation documentation on the architecture and setting of assigned systems Ensures the compliance with license and support agreements of all participating subsystems Monitors and optimizes the use of resources and performance of servers, applications and networks Designs and implements backup and recovery processes, including disaster recovery; performs backup and recovery of file systems Requirements: At least 7 years of direct hands-on experience in designing, implementing and maintaining a Windows Server environment. Outstanding customer service and interaction skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills. Demonstrated ability to be a team player and a willingness to lend a hand with any project. Excellent ability to analyze, make decisions and solve problems. High level of initiative and dedication also required. Scripting knowledge with PowerShell a plus. Experience with monitoring systems is a must General overview of IT trends Strong analytical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) Ability to work cross-functionally among numerous stakeholders Excellent time management and communication skills Valid Driver's License Compensation: Commensurate with Experience Company Description: Workgroup is a provider of integrated technology and communications managed services and solutions.
