FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organization's financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.Morgan Stanley is seeking a strong candidate for its Regulatory Capital Reporting Team. Primary responsibilities include production support and ad hoc analysis for capital disclosures pursuant to FFIEC 101, Pillar 3 and FR Y-9C and the development and ongoing management of legal entity reporting. Candidate will interact internally across divisions including Business Unit Controllers, Market Risk Department, Credit Risk Department, Legal Department, Treasury, Information Technology and Financial Control.Responsibilities- Deliver timely and accurate external reporting and analysis, including but not limited the following tasks:Drive the analysis and resolution of data quality issues identified during the production of FFIEC 101, Pillar 3 and capital related section of FR Y-9CCommunicate issues and reporting impact to key stakeholdersPartner with all stakeholders to ensure that tactical and strategic remediation plans are developed in a timely mannerParticipate in Basel working groups for Basel III and Pillar 3 disclosuresPartner with Capital Reporting groups in other regionsWork closely with Financial Regulatory Reporting and SEC Reporting TeamsUnderstand the regulatory reporting requirements across various reports to facilitate management of issues from inception to resolutionIndependently assess the accuracy and completeness of issues and remediation information and be able to flag potential delays, issues or impact to regulatory filingsReview policies and procedures to ensure these are up-to-date and institute organized process to introduce new or updated material;Ad-hoc projects as requiredAssist in responding to the regulatory inquiries in terms of coordinating with data providers, collecting the data, and preparing the analyticsImplement control procedures and edit checks to ensure the integrity of reported financial resultsPerform user acceptance testing of reporting systems and enhancementsBS/BA in Accounting or Finance and 2 years relevant Regulatory Reporting work experience.Control and Risk focusExcellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence to lead meetingsSelf-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and peopleAbility to multi-task and work in a fast pace environmentDetail oriented and ability to adhere to strict timelinesAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsExcellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills including the ability to renovate existing processesAbility to interact well with others at all levels.Familiarity with the reporting software ie AxiomBig 4 accounting experience and CPA/MBA preferablePosted by StartWire.
