The Forum Family Restaurant - Seeking Kitchen manager/cook. The qualified candidate will be well experienced with line cooking skills as well as grill cooking. Must have food prep skills and will master a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items along with management experience of overall restaurant operations. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the following Responsibilities:Will assume all cooking and responsible for all dishesOversee the daily operation of food service staffMonitor quality of products and services producedAdjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiencyManage inventory of ingredients and suppliesMaintain food costs for each menu itemMaintain health standards for raw and finished products . Ensuring the quality and safety of food . Keeping the kitchen clean, organized and well stocked . Maintaining equipment and utensils . Training and developing crew members . Promoting teamwork and creating a great customer experience . Monitoring food waste and inventory levels . Resolving food quality issues . Developing a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew . Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized Qualifications:Minimum 10 years experience in food industryPrevious experience in food service or other related fieldsKnowledge of common food safety practices Strong leadership qualitiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and communication skills Full time. Salary $47,500+ with potential ownership opportunity. The Forum is open Tuesday through Saturday 6am-8pm and Sundays from 6am-2:30pm and is located at 3401 Lafayette Blvd in Fredericksburg.
