FP&A Corporate and Business Unit Team Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. The Business Unit facing positions offer opportunities to drive better business partnering and insights, while growing your FP&A leadership and interpersonal skills. You are considered a business partner and your contributions will make a difference. You'll become involved in, but not limited to, pricing decisions and new initiatives to develop new products and services. You can have an impact on new business growth opportunities through development of business case scenarios. This role supports Pricing and Contract Governance for the Verizon Partner Solutions organization. Demonstrated leadership skill and ability to execute; motivate diverse work groups. Advanced communication skills (oral, written, presentation); must be able to communicate effectively with senior leaders as well as employees of all levels. Strong financial analysis skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access. Must be proficient in Financial P&L modeling. Multi-skilled with an ability to understand the commercial, financial, regulatory and technical spheres of the telecommunications industry. Negotiation experience and skills required. Self-motivated and able to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks. Able to interrogate the business to gain detailed knowledge, identifying key factors, translating this into trends affecting our business. May be responsible for influencing or negotiating contracts with internal and external customers. Must have the ability to work closely with Verizon attorneys. Responsible for performing complex business case analysis, translating the results and communicating the decision effectively. Responsible for leading the interface with senior management on pricing issues and initiatives. Responsible for acting in a consultative role to Sales Account Teams in their efforts to drive revenue. Responsible for collaborating with various organizations (PLM, Legal, Finance, Standard Pricing, Engineering, etc.) on the pricing of complex and non-standard services as part of an overall solution. Responsible for documenting financial and margin analysis for all deals for analysis of performance and metrics. Qualifications Must have: * A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience. * Six or more years of relevant experience with a strong management background. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with proven focus on Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated leadership skill and ability to execute; motivate diverse work groups. Ideally, you'll also have: * A Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics. * A professional certification (eg CPA, CMA). * High degree of strategic and analytical capability, including the ability to analyze a large amount of data. * Strong strategic skills, with the ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations; proven ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision. * Advanced understanding of report query and design. * Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management. * Familiar with Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance. * Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
