Job Title: Microsoft Network Engineers - Secret Clearance Required Job Type: Permanent Location: On-SITE Washington, DC Stafford Consulting, an information technology and federal consulting company with excellent benefits, has a long-term, 5-year contract and has immediate openings for Network Engineers to support the vital mission of a high profile Federal client based in Washington, DC. Skills Needed: Microsoft Engineer (Senior Level). Design, implement and maintain the following Microsoft Products: Active Directory, Exchange, Server, Windows, Office, Group Policy Objects, Sharepoint, and powershell scripting. The Microsoft Engineer will manage configurations and permissions together with Microsoft Exchange Servers in a Data Center network for a large enterprise network. Implement IBM Big Fix patching solutions. As a government contractor as part of a systems engineering and network operations team, duties will be widely variable. Supports day-to-day operations by designing, supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows based systems and Exchange Servers on three "air-gap" networks. Serve as an escalation point for tier one and two helpdesk staff. Supports employees when required to telework securely and ensure bureau compliance with federal COOP requirements. Write scripts to automate help desk, security and operation functions and increase their day-to-day efficiency. Interact with customers to determine needs and requirements. Configure, install, test, and support Microsoft Products based systems and Exchange Servers at an off-site Data Center. Monitor assigned systems. Lead Microsoft update and patching efforts to include testing and training internal staff. This requires validating the updates and patches for applicability and timing to update using both Microsoft WSUS and IBM Big Fix patching solutions. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunication plus 5 years' experience in Microsoft Windows / Exchange Engineering or 7 years relevant experience. US citizenship required.
