TMCI is seeking a data scientist that will utilize technology to communicate data findings from a large enterprise healthcare data warehouse to corporate leaders in order to make accurate business decisions based on the quality and attributes of the data. The data scientist will explore and profile large and complex enterprise data sets from not just one source, but from multiple enterprise data sources in order to gain maximum insight into opportunities for improving data quality across the spectrum of these data sets. The data scientist will collect and analyze data to spot trends, anomalies, and issues in healthcare data in order to evolve processes for finding and resolving issues within a large healthcare enterprise data set. US Citizenship and ability to communicate in English with people of diverse backgrounds throughout the world in a diplomatic and professional manner. . Familiarity with the handling of PHI, PII, or other sensitive information. . Ability to effectively work in a large, geographically diverse health system environment and work closely with team members having disparate skill sets. . Experience with one or more of the following methodologies: Descriptive Statistics, Hypothesis Testing, Parameter Estimation, Pattern Recognition Classification, or Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning . Exhibit strong passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data. . Manage, collect, mine, profile, and analyze big data in order to build data driven insights and high impact data models for resolution of data quality issues across large enterprise data sources. . Create processes to help address the challenges of acquiring data, evaluating its value, distilling, and analyzing. . Examine data from multiple sources and share insights via statistical analysis and modeling which provide understanding into underlying complex data issues within the enterprise system of systems. . Experience manipulating or analyzing structured and unstructured data sources and familiar with big data or enterprise data warehouse technologies. . Work with corporate leaders to develop and define metrics and KPIs in order to drive change. . Ability to communicate complex quantitative data analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner. . Iterate closely with end users and team to proactively discover and improve data quality resolution solutions. . Work closely with data experts to ensure the highest possible data quality, proper interpretation, and use of data. . Guide and implement the data profiling process through correct queries, software writing, testing, and quality control and performs data visualization. . Strategizes new uses for tools, technology, and automation to improve efficiencies in data quality resolution processes and trains team members on new and updated procedures. . Discovers stories told by data and presents them to corporate leaders and managers. . Generates new algorithms and trait matching criteria to reduce the amount of false positives or negatives found during the analysis of enterprise data. . Implements new and enhanced solutions designed to access and handle more data efficiently. . Has strong critical thinking skills and the ability to relate them to improvements in the quality of data being analyzed with large complex enterprise data sets. . Demonstrates and displays technical understanding of and writing ability in using programming languages like visual basic, SQL (Structured Query Language), Python, SAS, others, or other statistical/scientific computing applications/platforms. . Demonstrates excellent organization, detail oriented, verbal, and written communication skills as well as the ability to bridge the gap between analyzed data and reporting to corporate management. Required Education and Experience . Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis, design, programming, analytics, and enterprise data . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field .
