JustinBradley's client, an international non-partisan research and advocacy organization, is looking for a Chief Financial Officer for their Washington, DC headquarters. As a key member of the leadership, the CFO will be influential in leading this organization by maturing accounting and financial processes and adding to organizational strategy. Furthermore, as a trusted advisor to the President, this individual must have the communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Highlighted Responsibilities:Oversee accounting, finance, investment, funding, and reporting for the organization and ensure accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP);Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements with funders and donor requirements;Periodically conduct risk assessments, notifying leadership of risks;Create financial management strategies and make recommendations based on analysis and forecasts;Provide strategic direction and recommend policies;Mentor and develop the accounting and finance teams. A well-qualified candidate will possess the following:A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;At least 13 years of progressive accounting experience;Must be a Certified Public Accountant (active or inactive);A Master's Degree is a positive.
