The systems administrator will be responsible for ensuring availability and optimization of the environment as well as configuration and installation of tools to enhance team productivity, providing support for software testing, system integration, development of automated installation scripts and other duties to support LAN and WAN networks. Lastly, the systems administrator will also be expected to perform security and access testing and take support calls.Essential Job Functions:* Provide Tier 3 support and serve on the front line as a technical member of the Systems Administration team* Provide administrative support of Linux/UNIX systems including the installation of operating systems, management of configurations, management of Access Control Lists (ACLs), troubleshooting and monitoring the status of all systems and applications, and supporting installed applications and network services (eg NIS, DNS, LDAP, etc.)* Create, test, and maintain scripts (eg Shell and PERL) for process automation and file parsing in direct support of customer requirementsRequired Skills:* Eight (8) years of enterprise experience with installation, maintenance, administration, and trouble shooting of computer hardware and software at the Tier III level in a Linux/UNIX environment* Technically proficient at installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux/UNIX platforms (both in a physical and virtual environment)* Excellent understanding, knowledge, and working experience with the Linux/UNIX Command Line Interface (CLI)Certifications: The candidate must possess at least one currently active and valid Red Hat Linux certification (eg Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHDCS), Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS), Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)).Education and Experience:A degree is not a prerequisite for this position.
