Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) and Fully Medically Ready (FMR) are the basic principles of force sustainment for National Guard forces. Medical health is vital for force health protection, and failure to achieve a standard level of medical health could preclude a Soldier from deploying. Medical Readiness is a command responsibility. The National Guard in Marietta, Georgia is in need of a Behavioral Health Clinical Case Manager (BHCCM) to support behavioral health programs. Responsibilities:* Provide behavioral health clinical case management to Soldiers in their designated area in the organizations.* Report directly to the Behavioral Health Program Manager (BHPM), State Level Administrator (SLA) and Deputy State Surgeon (DSS) and will work at the Clay National Guard Center in Marietta, GA or Macon Russell Armory in Macon, GA.* Travel throughout the State will be necessary.* Provide BH recommendations to the BHOIC, commanders or designated staff.* Assist in identifying problems and gaps in service in current behavioral health delivery system and devising methods to improve and enhance system.* Present educational briefings to units and commanders on BH related issues.* Be willing and able to act on the results of evaluations. This will require substantial interpersonal confidence and comfort in a role that may seem adversarial to some service members. Qualifications:* Master's Degree in Social Work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE); or Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a graduate program fully accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)* Must hold the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. * Minimum of two years' experience, preferred post license, providing mental health services in a supervised setting; a range of experiences in terms of clientele and professional activities is preferred* An understanding of available systems of care and experience collaborating with social service agencies to integrate resources, plan, and deliver comprehensive services, is considered essential* Knowledge of military culture and issues (eg, combat-related stress, family separation, reunion and reintegration) and experience intervening with military personnel is also preferred* A developing expertise in conducting mental status evaluations and be able to make initial diagnosis based on the based on DSM-V (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5th Edition)* Experience conducting fitness for duty evaluations is preferred* Ability to make accurate assessments of service members' mental status. This assessment may be conducted with limited available collateral information and with service members who have a vested interest in appearing well. Thus, the BHCCM must be skilled enough to make sound clinical decisions in the context of diagnostic uncertainty* Ability to make referrals to and link service members to appropriate resources* Confidence to make affirmative recommendations based on the results of evaluations* Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with personnel at all levels. The objective is that the BHCCM be viewed as a resource and asset from the brigade to unit level* Computer skills sufficient to create, maintain, and send reports* Read and Write access to eProfile, eCase, HRR, MEDPROS, MEDCHART and read access to AHLTA* Effective verbal and written communication skills* Secret Level security clearance Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
