We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Weekend Admission to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the RN works under the general direction of the Director of Nursing or the Director of Department by providing support to the patient/family to provide care and to maximize the comfort and health of patients.Provides services requiring specialized nursing skill, in accordance with the plan of treatment signed by physician and makes the initial evaluation visit to the patient.Demonstrates competency in all skills required for the agency, including but not limited to, venipuncture, infusion therapy, infusion therapy device care, wound care and aseptic technique.Regular evaluations of the nursing needs of the client, and makes necessary revisions to the client's care.Initiates diagnostic, preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate to the client's care and safety.Observes signs and symptoms and reports to the physician and/or other appropriate health professional as often as needed, or upon changes in the client's conditions.Teaches, supervises and counsels the client and family regarding home nursing procedures and other care needs as appropriate to the client's condition. utilizes agency educational materials as appropriate.Supervises and teaches the home health aide and communicates plan of care changes to aide and scheduler as necessary.Develops, prepares and maintains individualized client care progress records with accuracy, timeliness and according to policies. Submits accurate documentation within 48 hours of visit.On-call rotation as needed.
