Sr. Product Manager/Owner
Sr. Product Manager/Owner Position Description Responsible for oversight of the entire MAS product management/ development lifecycle* Work with Team Leads to document and drive the project/product vision.* Meet regularly with CMS Business Owners and End Users to provide guidance on the overall Product Roadmap* Ensure all necessary documentation/identification is completed for Change Requests, including but not limited to: Requirements, User Stories, Business Rules, Process Flows, Non-Functional Requirements, Minimum Viable Product, screen mock-ups and/or wireframes for any UI changes, etc.* Oversee multiple concurrent initiatives within the overall project. Ensure that multiple concurrent initiatives are all taken into account for the overall system. Facilitate regular Scrum of Scrums meetings to make sure initiatives are being accurately tracked and accounted for.* Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, user stories, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints.* Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements * Define and document all business rules* Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements.* Represent requirements using alternative views, such as BPMN* Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards. Your future duties and responsibilities * Participate in requirements prioritization.* Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents.* Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.* Enter, manipulate, and report on requirements stored in JIRA. Define requirement attributes and facilitate their use throughout the project.* Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project.* Identify requirements errors and defects, and write requirements defect identification and notification reports.* Manage changes to base-lined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.* Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process. Assist with the development of the organization's requirements engineering policies, procedures, and tools.* Collaborate with scrum teams to clearly communicate and clarify the requirements and product vision. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Requirements gathering and management:* Applies a diverse toolkit for eliciting and documenting business requirements including both written methods such as Use Cases and User Stories, as well as visual methods such as UML and BPMN* Maintains requirements traceability * Verifies the final product as delivered by the Scrum teams is "done" and meets that stated goals and vision 5-8 yearsAgile/Scrum* Product ownership experience in an Agile environment* Significant experience creating user stories and associated documentation, eg screen mock-ups, wireframes, etc.* Participates in product backlog grooming and management, user story development and mapping, and consults with scrum teams regarding product requirements and vision 3-5 yearsProduct Management* Collaborates with external business and application stakeholders and internal product owners to define requirements to support the product roadmap and vision.* Maintains an understanding of the application end users, business community, and relevant policy and legislative requirements that contribute to the direction of the product.* Understands the competitive landscape and anticipates industry trends and patterns to future-proof the product. 3-5 yearsTechnical Knowledge* Experience with JIRA, Confluence and other related ALM tools* Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required* Certified Scrum Product Owner certification preferred.
