Mid-Level Helpdesk TechnicianFBI HeadquartersWashington, DC ATSG is seeking resumes for a Mid-Level Helpdesk Technician to help support the Information Technology Branch of the FBI. The successful candidate will: Be responsible for performing duties under general supervision and guidance from technical staff using detailed problems specifications provided by others.Monitored while in progress and reviewed upon completion for accuracy and compliance with standards.Perform technical work of a professional level using standard techniques, concepts and procedures.Be expected to show initiative and judgment in performing assigned tasks.Install desktops, portable microcomputers, peripherals, and software products for networked, classified and unclassified, and standalone environments.Detect, diagnose, and resolve desktop and portable microcomputer software and hardware and software.Analyze and assess customers' service request and provide prompt technical solutions.Conduct IT audits in compliance with policies governing the administration, utilization, and acquisition of desktop and portable microcomputer products.Prepare progress/status reports team leads.Utilize trouble-ticketing software for opening/closing tickets in a timely and appropriate manner.Contact and effectively communicate with users by telephone, electronic communications, or in person.Prepare equipment for reuse or surplus of property actions.Provide technical support for customers assigned to remote locations.Perform software and hardware upgrades and installations involving multiple microcomputers configured for desktop, portable, and server operations.Coordinate the disassembly and re-installation of automation equipment in support of office relocations.
