Maintenance Mechanic- Second Shift

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible to support the second shift by diagnosing problems, performing repairs and necessary preventive maintenance on all plant equipment including automated machines, communication systems, alarms, rooftop HVAC. The responsibilities and duties will require knowledge of various trade fundamentals sufficient to deal with repairs and installations. Essential Duties Under supervision, dismantles, repairs, and reassembles pneumatic hand tools, cylinders, & gear boxes. Performs tests on equipment and makes necessary adjustments for successful operation of equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on all plant equipment including automated machines and communication system Under supervision, relocates and installs equipment such as automated machinery. Diagnoses problems and trouble shoots equipment failures; makes repairs or replaces parts. Facility Support: Provides setup and breakdown for meetings, as instructed; provides maintenance support for restroom sinks, toilets, showers, and drains; maintains grounds including snow removal Knowledge, Skills, Abilities High School diploma 3 years of experience in mechanical/electrical facilities repair Ability to read and understand blue prints and electrical schematics Demonstrated working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems and components. Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers Understanding of preventative maintenance Working knowledge of the use of micrometers, dial calipers and other measuring devices. Must be available for Call-In repairs on off shifts.
