We are looking for a PR / Communications Associate with strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to multi-task and a keen interest in the events industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of public relations day-to-day programs, projects and activities with the ultimate goal of effectively increasing corporate visibility, as well as supporting the marketing team. This role will actively participate in overall strategy and integrated campaign development. Responsibilities and Duties Aid in development and execution of a comprehensive communications campaign to support increased corporate visibility Generate media materials including press releases, media pitches, interview talking points, and pitch letters. Develop positive relationships with trade and industry media. Pitch stories to support press releases, increase executive visibility, thought leadership and support CSR Responsible for drafting updated case studies for new client work; promoting through integrated social media plans and coordinating all required professional photography to support ongoing PR and marketing efforts Draft engaging social media plans for brand. Coordinate with agency to develop speaking engagement campaign/ thought leadership program for senior leadership and sales executives Work closely with team to develop, plan and help execute industry sponsorship events Required Skills and Experience Minimum 2-3 years of experience in public relations / communications Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related industry field Superior written and verbal communications skills Experience pitching national and local media Effective multi-tasker with the ability to juggle several projects and varying deadlines Strategic thinker that can identify industry differentiators and effectively pitch media Solid organizational/creative skills, detail oriented, collaborative team player Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to think outside the box Proactive self-starter with the ability to think big and innovate Some travel and evening / weekend work required Hargrove, Inc. is an EOE/Minorities/Females/Vets/Disability and Affirmative Action employer Company Description: Hargrove is a global leader in brand storytelling, designing and delivering environments that tell stories, market brands, launch new products, ignite passion for causes and most importantly resonate with the targeted audience.
