Position:Currently seeking motivated managers for all managerial positions for an upscale Washington, DC venue. Looking for the ideal candidate to lead and manage the service team while offering the upmost in service.About Us:Exciting new fine dinning and nightlife entertainment concept, expecting to open 3-5 outlets in the next 3 years nationwide. Looking for a venue manager with great opening team skills for the first of these restaurants in Washington, DC Purpose:As the general manager, you will be responsible to plan, control, organize, and direct all employees in the establishment. You will take ownership of the restaurant's operations and make sure all plans and tasks are executed with optimal efficiency and profitability throughout every shift. As manager, you will exemplify courteous hospitality and respect to all employees and patrons. Keeping a positive work environment is key, as you lead service development. Regulate all operations and hold individuals accountable at all times. Recruit and hire top tier talent when positions must be filled. Execute training programs for hourly employees to insure their knowledge of all tasks and operations. Must have excellent communication with employees and all managers to assure that operational needs are met. Pre-shift meetings to educate staff on daily updates and improvements should be held on a regular basis to assure effective coordination and cooperation between departments. Interaction with guests to assure satisfaction and the upmost in customer service. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Minimum of 2+ years of professional hospitality management experience in a similar environment; 5+ years of restaurant experience required. Must have strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Must have experience in and knowledge of fine dining, upscale restaurant service, and salesmanship. Must have supervisory, leadership and staff development skills and the ability to assess other employees' performance in a fair and consistent manner. Ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency at all times Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining careful attention tasks. Ability to maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Must have strong work ethic and work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and other managers. Must have extensive knowledge of the food industry, restaurants, and competitive markets. Develop financial and operational goals for the venue; both long and short term Possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines Proven examples of leadership, not just management Must be well organized, have strong work ethic, and be dependable.
