Preschool Assistant Teacher
HOPKINS HOUSE, a nonprofit, community-based learning center, founded in 1939, seeks an experienced, highly skilled Assistant Teacher for its nationally accredited, Virginia quality rated preschool academy in Alexandria, Virginia. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting the Teacher to plan, coordinate, and implement daily preschool academy activities for the students in his/her classroom. 1) Assist in planning and implementing daily lesson plans;2) Participate in in-service training and attend local and regional early child development conferences, seminars and meetings;3) Assist to maintain safe and clean classroom environment;4) Assist to organize and maintain developmentally appropriate classroom;5) Assist to maintain classroom records, including children's Individualized Education Plan (IEP), attendance records, health and safety forms and procedures, and written reports;6) Meet regularly and frequently with parents; and,7) Provide such other related duties as may, from time-to-time, be assigned.
