We have an excellent opportunity available for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer. This individual will be responsible for setting the policies, procedures and standards for all electrical systems with overall responsibility for design, implementation and training with regard to all electrical systems. Essential Duties: . Responsible for maintaining electrical safety standards and electrical safety training across the site. Be SAFE and promote safety consciousness to all Toray and non-Toray personnel. Ensures a safe and professional work environment is provided for personnel. Quickly propose and/or implement any safety improvements . Development, implementation and maintenance of the future vision and direction for electrical systems . Responsible for owning large capital projects up to $5 million with an emphasis on electrical and controls work. . Responsible for tracking and reporting on assigned project schedules and costs weekly to senior management. . Responsible for managing contractors to keep safety as the first priority while getting work completed on time and under budget. . Responsible for day to day floor activities associated with electrical, automation, PLC and controls. . Responsible for engaging maintenance on unique or higher level electrical problems that arise from Ethernet to incoming line voltages. . Responsible for developing a strategy for the site with the Engineering Manager aimed at upgrading old equipment in order to bring all equipment onto the network. . Develop a strategy with IS to integrate all machine communication systems in to the overall network and management data systems . Responsible for off hours support of production and maintenance to solve any electrical failures including all machines and supporting systems that exceed the capability of the on hand resources or whose urgency requires support. . Responsible for documentation of electrical systems and programs associated with any manufacturing equipment. . Responsible for the specification, bidding and purchasing of all electrical components and systems. Requirements: . Must be familiar with industry safety standards. Must understand industry electrical standards such as IEEE, NEC, NFPA, UL, NEMA . This person should possess excellent electrical wiring, instrumentation, computer, PLC, communications and systems troubleshooting skills. . Should have clear experience programming Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or other similar PLC's. . Computer programming for HMI's such as LabVIEW, Wonder ware or other similar software is a plus. . Should have hands on circuit repair and wiring experience and experience reading and maintaining PID's and wiring diagrams. . Should have excellent written and verbal skills. . Must have experience in setting electrical standards; leading projects with overall performance, financial and timing responsibility; managing contractors; supervising employees of various functions; design of electrical machine systems including P&IDs, I/O, logic diagrams, wiring schematics, panel layouts and instrument lists; specifying, bidding and purchasing of electrical components and systems; interdisciplinary manufacturing systems; training of electrical principles. Education & Experience Required: . BS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years industry experience is required. . MS and 5 years of experience are preferred. Electrical Engineer Projects to Include: . Manufacturing machine panel design and improvement . Manufacturing machine electrical trouble shooting guides . Developing and implementing manufacturing electrical and safety standards . Short, medium and long term electrical systems plans . Continual development of the plant's SCADA system . Leadership of all electrical functions in one unified direction . Training program individuals performing electrical functions . Develop standards for electrical components .
