The Safety Manager will lead the development of and clearly articulate the Company's safety vision, objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures to build a strong safety culture. This position will be responsible for all facets of safety ranging from programs, training's, claims, auditing, and collaborating with insurance companies. The Safety Manager will assist Project Managers and field personnel on safety requirements. Safety Manager Job Responsibilities:Manage Safety ProgramHold Monthly Safety Meetings with Safety CommitteeCollaborate with committee on safety recommendationsModify and update safety policy as neededPerform Safety Audits on all projectsSafety TrainingRecord employee safety trainingNew Hire TrainingClaims ManagementEnsure injured employee received the right medical aidEnsure all paper work is given to employee, doctor and insurance companyFollow-up on employee and advise insurance companyWork closely with Insurance company to manage claimKeep updated on progress of claimReduce the reserves for each claim as much as possibleAct as liaison with Insurance CompanyStrong communication between insurance and company.Assist in the renewal processMeet with prospective insurance companiesAnswer all questions about our performance and policyManage all paperwork associated with SafetyMVR's and MVR requestOSHA LogAccident reportsSafety Meeting Agenda and Minutes Safety Manager Job Requirements:. Bachelor Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field preferred.. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in safety and construction industry, specifically in a management role.. Excellent written and verbal skills when addressing either individuals or groups.. Preferred DOT/OSHA 1925 knowledge and/or experience.. Ability to present information in classroom or conference call settings.. Knowledge of OSHA construction and general industry regulations.. Ability and willingness to travel; At least 40% travel required. Must be able to travel to facility locations throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
