But what really sets up apart? Simply put - our people. Help with Delivering Successful Projects! Build and maintain our various product and development platforms. This position is an operational engineering role and you will be an integrated part of our product development teams. You will be writing software to configure servers, not manually configuring them each time. You wona€ (TM) t be deploying code; you will build tools so that anyone in engineering can deploy their code. You wona€ (TM) t be monitoring alerts, youa€ (TM) ll be building scripts / tools to resolve production problems automatically. In addition, responsibilities include: Draw on at least three years of experience to assist with the core infrastructure for both internal projects and external projects for our clients. Scale our infrastructure in an automated fashion. Treat infrastructure as a product by contributing ideas on how to continually improve automation services and resiliency of the platform. Monitor and instrument everything, particularly data applications and databases. Provide tooling to all of engineering. Patch and maintain Windows and Linux servers. Follow and execute Production, QA, Dev and other environmental change control processes. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Assist with documentation to ensure they can be continued into the future. Maintain a DoD security clearance in order to gain access to client sites and networks. Be open to commuting in and around the DC Metro area in order to be present at client sites for work. Profile of Success: Utilize Bachelora€ (TM) s Degree in Computer Science and previous DevOps engineering experience. Previous programming experience in PowerShell or similar scripting language. Background in automation using Chef, Puppet, or similar technologies. Experience in Windows server administration; Linux server administration with RedHat , Centos or similar Exposure to Microsoft Azure including Azure SQL, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory Experience in SQL Server administration and troubleshooting and web server administration using IIS and/or Apache Other Desirable Skills : Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM or comparable technologies. Desire to gain or use extra-curricular certifications as part of ongoing professional growth. Some project management experience. Knowledge of agile processes (Scrum / Kanban). Client Site Locations: DC Metro Area (Downtown DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia) *Consultantsa€ (TM) assigned client sites are subject to change due to the consultative nature of our work.
