Purpose:Responsible for quality repairs and modifications of all modular buildings and containers in our fleet, while taking pride in your workmanship and maintaining a safe and clean work environment, while regularly performing inventory checks, fleet check-ins and departures. Responsibilities:As a Service Technician, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: - Perform check-in inspections of off rented fleet by physically inspecting to determine repair scope of work, as well as damages for invoicing the customer. While clearly communicating repair scope to management- Perform modifications as required by customer and/or management- Ensure that all trailers and/or containers are ready for scheduled delivery dates.- Communicate any delays to any trailers and/or containers to management and sales rep- Perform repairs to fleet including but not limited to: framing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, painting, drywall, plumbing etc.- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure all safety protocols are upheld- Perform any service related tasks around the yard as requested by management Qualifications: - Minimum High School diploma- Ability to work individually in a fast paced environment is a must- Must have proven carpentry knowledge and experience- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and welding experience preferred- Some knowledge of current technology preferred- Forklift certified preferred- Good communication skills are required for dealing with customers, contractors, sales and Allied personnel within all branches- Clean driving record and current drivers license- 3+ years of verifiable experience- Able to obtain a security clearance to deliver and service within government sites - Preferred- Highly motivated individual with the ability to adapt to change- Demonstrates ability to engage customers quickly and establish credibility with the customer and project, while on site- Strong problem-solving skills- Team oriented to get the job done "One Team, One Goal", Ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure great customer experience- Strong professional work ethic and possesses great character Reporting Structure:Reports to: Shop Manager Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401K, Paid Vacation/Holiday Hours:7am - 4pm Monday - Friday Company Description: Allied Trailers Company Overview: Allied Trailers is a leading provider of space solutions for construction, education, energy, industrial, commercial/retail, healthcare, and government markets, operating out of 8 branches located on the East Coast, and serving more than 50,000 customers.
