Summary of Position: The ideal candidate will have a sense of adventure, a passion and skill for the culinary arts, excel at multiple diverse disciplines and feel more comfortable making their office on the open road rather than a cubicle. Working closely with the agency and client marketing team, you will be traveling all over Eastern USA cooking up exciting custom recipes for numerous festivals and events as an ambassador of a nationally recognized brand. Your primary duties will include (but are not limited to) travelling to chosen events, executing menu items, hire, recruit and train employees as well as maintain and operate the truck/mobile food unit trailer. Duties and Responsibilities: . Drive the Mobile Food Unit trailer to each event location. (Experience in towing a trailer is a plus). Must pass DOT test and physical.. Set up and tear down of Food Unit and display at numerous events during the year.. Prep and cook menu items according to established standards. Ability to serve large crowds of people throughout the day. Adhere to event setup, hours, and rules. Properly clean & maintain the Mobile Food Unit after each use. Adhere to truck and food unit maintenance schedule. Must be comfortable with overnight travel and being on the road for weeks at a time.. Must be able to prioritize multiple logistic that are ongoing and upcoming. Permit the Mobile Food Unit for all events (knowledge of food handling and health code regulations is a plus). Hire, train and supervise per diem event staff including cooks, servers and brand ambassadors throughout year. Prepare teams for scheduled events year-round. Track expenses and complete monthly billing reports. Manage and order all event support material and supplies related to the Mobile Food Unit (Ingredients, product, cleaning supplies, and all other items needed at events). Accurately record inventory usage. Find and utilize local kitchen commissaries. Properly store foods in designated areas following proper dating and labeling procedures. Utilize approved food production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control. Represent company and serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner. Ability to safely operate and maintain large volume culinary equipment including but not limited to the grill, oven, generator and propane tanks. Must be able to track, analyze, document, and communicate results to leadership teams. Qualifications: . Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Certification. 3 - 5 years culinary experience in a fast pace environment a plus. Energetic self-starter with excellent customer relation skills, proactive, outgoing, upbeat and positive attitude. Ability to multi-task and prioritize while under pressure. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including irregular hours, nights and weekends. Valid drivers' license and clean DMV record. Adheres to Department of Health guidelines (Food Handler's Card is a plus). Will be drug tested periodically, in accordance with company policy. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
