Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the implementation and administration of a wide range of Human Resources programs in a three shift 40 + employee manufacturing facility located in Gaithersburg, MD and a 15 + employee lab and testing facility located in Manassas, VA. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to employee relations, benefits, recruiting, Human Resource Information Systems, compensation, training, recruiting, employee retention, compliance with all applicable laws, effective performance management and delivering education and awareness to mitigate risk to the site Leadership Team. In addition the Human Resources Manager will assist the Plant Manager and the Corporate Human Resource team with the implementation of strategic HR programs through data driven analytical reviews of HR Metrics. This position reports to the Plant Manager and will play an integral role on the Site Management Team in helping to achieve business goals and objectives. Essential Functions:Lead the development, dissemination and interpretation of personnel policies and their implementation at the site, providing consultation to the management team on leadership initiatives. Provide independent insight into the impact of such initiatives on personnelLead the development of a training procedure for the site and establish and maintain associated training documentation. Work with management team to develop and deliver required training and employee growth programs for new and existing employees, including development and implementation of new employee orientation and training program. Administer all new employee orientationsCommunicate and coordinate the delivery of benefits to site personnel.Oversee the employment process including recruitment, selection, placement, development, compensation, corrective action, effective performance manangement discipline and termination, including the use of temporary employees. Coordinate the Employee Perfomance Apprasial, Merit Increase and Annual Incentive Programs as well as any other mandated corporate programs. Coordinate any employee work related issues with SGPPLmanagement .Administer the People Development Pillar for WCM at the location along with maintaining key HR metrics and analyzing them for strategic input to the local Leadership team.
