Job Description Job Description & Title: Plumbing Field Supervisor Reports to: Plumbing Manager Department/Division: Plumbing FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY The Plumbing Field Supervisor is responsible for a wide variety of duties that include management of a team of technicians, ensuring best practices and conducting Plumbing duties. The Plumbing Field Supervisor will provide technical and sales assistance to the persons who report to them as well perform skilled technical work in the maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of plumbing devices, equipment and controls This is how my job contributes to the success of the company and here are the functions to make that happen. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Follow procedures per our Operations Manual & Rewards program 2. Assist company in meeting budget by making sales, installs, maintenance, disclosure and follow-up work that meet the required sales and service goals per your position. 3. Continuous learning to meet the requirements for the next position. 4. Continuous learning on the products the company installs and services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Operate per the Company Values * Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems. * Install replacement parts according to specifications and established safety guidelines. * Manage and train less experienced technicians * Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions. * Maintain accurate and timely paperwork. * Follow all safety practices and adhere to all safety related policies. * Make recommendations to clients to improve operation of existing system. * Offer features such as Audit Services and Heating & Cooling. * Provide accurate and timely communications to internal and external clients. * Respond to emergency calls. * Listen to clients and build value with the client concerning our service * Stay up to date on latest tools of the trade; cameras, testers * Perform safety inspection and discuss with client your findings * Demonstrate initiative in servicing clients and maintaining positive client relations. * Perform a variety of complicated tasks. * Transport a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site. * Maintain vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition. * Other duties as assigned ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS * Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit * Able to work nights and weekends on a “on call” basis * Able to service all types of residential plumbing devices, equipment, including boilers * Proficient written and verbal communication * Able to work in a team * Able to carry out instructions correctly with minimal supervision * Follow standard procedures of Minnick's Operation Manual. * Obey all safety guidelines * Able to climb ladders and work in high, precarious places up to elevations of 50 feet JOB REQUIREMENTS * Minimum of 8 years' experience and MD Plumbing Master licensing * MD Backflow Prevention certification * High school diploma or GED required * Valid driver's license is required. * Employment is based on Drug testing and background screening. * Must successfully pass DOT Test PHYSICAL DEMANDS * Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. * Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. * Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. * Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. * Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds * Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
