You can learn more about us here: www.StrategicFactory.com Position Summary: The Media Buyer will be responsible for seeking out, purchasing, and negotiating media space for clients while ensuring that advertising, marketing and promotional campaigns are exposed to the right target audience in the most effective place possible, thereby gaining recognition and new customers for the clients' product or service in question. Primary Responsibilities Ability to form good relationships and negotiate with advertising sales representatives to acquire cost-efficient and budget-conscious advertising space, sponsorships, or product placements. Responsible for acquiring desirable time slots and media space for clients. Responsible for monitoring the purchased media to make sure the advertisements appear as planned, and they credit or bill clients as necessary to settle accounts. Collect market research information, such as demographics, media usage, ratings and the type of content in each vehicle to choose the best possible venue or medium for an advertising campaign. Must understand clients' needs and wants and research what media are available in the markets afforded by a client's budget. Reach highest number of people with lowest-priced ad possible. Identify target audience. Coordinate launch of media campaigns with clients. Keep abreast of industry figures, including distribution and audience figures. Monitor buying strategies. Monitor and optimize effectiveness of campaigns. Find a combination of media that will enable the client to communicate the message. Buy advertising space in radio, television, and online. Use a combination of several different kinds of media to reach different audiences. Gain client approval for each campaign phase. Recommend which days and times ads should run. Position Requirements: Minimum of 7 years of media buying experience. Knowledge of local Baltimore Radio/TV and Online market required; other additional market knowledge is preferred. Analytical thinking, communication, persuasion, and research abilities. Bachelor's degree in related field. Must be respectful, energetic, trustworthy, detail-oriented and highly motivated.
