Responsible for analyzing/monitoring Regional AR Aging and leveraging field resources to effectively adapt collection strategies. Coordinate and perform related collection activities Reporting structure: Financial Operations Manager/Senior Manager Finance Administration; Indirect to Regional Finance Manager Essential Responsibilities: Key Functions: * Lead & guide regional resources in reducing unpaid accounts. * Run regional aging reports and analyze underlying data in order to develop collection plan. Analysis to include comparing and evaluating possible courses of action and providing recommendations. * Direct the activities of other Field personnel to actively collect open AR balances * Actively collect open AR balances by contacting customers and using discretion and judgement to formulate a workable collection plan. * Manage the timely and detailed updating of the Get Paid AR collection system regarding accurate customer contact information, notes on status of open AR accounts, payment promises, customer disputes, escalation for inclusion in the AR Specific Reserve, repossession review, referral to Legal, write-off, etc. * Direct customer issues/concerns to appropriate personnel or, particularly in complicated situations, respond directly to customer to ensure timely and business- desirable results. * Act as a liaison between the Field personnel and Corporate/Regional/Area management regarding the review and timely resolution of disputes assigned to the Field. Provide guidance and expertise to find creative solutions. * Coordinate and lead monthly meetings with Area Management and Regional Finance Manager to review the Regional Aging and progress with respect to the collection of open AR balances * Participate in monthly meetings between Regional Leadership and Corporate Accounting/Finance regarding the status of Region's AR Aging/Collection status and adequacy of the AR Specific Reserve * Reconcile accounts and perform administrative tasks/additional duties as assigned Additional Duties and Functions as assigned. This role reports into WS's Corporate Finance function but is aligned with and supports a subset of our branch network and is accountable for approximately $15M of Accounts Receivable. The role requires a high degree of professional collaboration with our Regional Finance Directors, local Administrators in our branch network managing day-to-day customer interactions, and the General Managers who have P&L responsibility for our operations. Critically, the role is an external representative of Williams Scotsman to our customers often in complex situations that have escalated due to customer disputes or delinquency.
