(2008) * CDI Marine Company is a division of CDI Government Services and a leader in providing our clients with high quality, cost effective engineering, design and logistics services in the marine industry. * CDI Corporation is an EEO/An Affirmative Action M/F/D/V Employer GENERAL DESCRIPTION: * The primary focus of this position is related to marketing, sales, and proposals for Information Technology (IT) for government clients focusing on Department of Defense (DoD) and primarily Navy IT programs. The DoD IT Business Development Manager (IT BDM) will be assigned lead responsibility to the Department of Defense IT market. GENERAL DUTIES: * The DoD IT Business Development Manager will report to the Government Services Director of Business Development. * Conduct client and competitor market research and analysis * Develop an expansive DoD IT pipeline * Develop Account Prospecting Plans * Develop Account Capture Plans * Assemble, coordinate, and manage Account Capture Teams and Pursuits * Conduct Competitor and Win Probability analysis * Develop Sales Call Plans and conduct client facing meetings * Conduct Price-to-Win Analysis * Develop Value Propositions, and Pricing and Win-Strategies * Prepare Proposal Executive Summaries * Participate in Proposal Blue, Pink, Red, and Silver Team Reviews * Coordinate, manage, and participate in Industry Trade Shows. * Identify and coordinate Teaming Partners * Identify and manage Prime Contracting and Subcontracting opportunities * SECRET DoD security clearance required; TOP SECRET preferred MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS: * A minimum of 10 years' experience in, marketing, sales, and proposals within the Government IT marketplace and ideally DoD * Has extensive knowledge of DoD IT contract and opportunity landscape * Possesses a wide range of relevant personal contacts within the DoD IT marketplace * Meaningful understanding in the range of requirements, certifications, and skills related to DoD IT * Must be able to gain access to establish meaningful strategic teaming relationships * Experience in identifying and leading successful Capture for opportunities valued in excess of $25M and ideally greater than $50M * Led successful Capture of resulting in individual contract wins valued in excess of $25M each * Knowledge of existing and meaningful contracts and their renewal cycles * Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, and/or Business required * MBA is preferred * Special training courses in sales and proposal development * Excellent verbal and writing communication skills * Experience in conducting market research and analysis * Experience in developing Account Prospecting and Capture Plans * Experience in the use of business development Call Plans * Experience in conducting Competitor and Win Probability Analysis * Experience in developing Value Propositions and Proposal Executive Summaries * Experience in Prime and Subcontract Pursuits * Experience in organizing and coordinating Trade * Show Merger and Acquisition (M&A) experience highly desired including the coordination and/or participation in M&A activities. * General knowledgeable of FAR and DFAR Regulations * Experience in negotiating Teaming Agreements SECURITY REQUIREMENTS * Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs. * Employee is required to access remote areas of multi-level vessels * Must comply with Company's Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
