Human Resources Intern Location: Reston, VA Are you interested in an internship at a rapidly growing company? Here at hCentive, we are offering an internship opportunity in our Human Resources department. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with employees and HR leaders to gain exposure to our employee engagement programs, training, and process and data management. HR plays a critical role in the company's success and you will too! The i nternship term will be8 weeks up to 40 hours per week. As an intern at hCentive you will interact with employees at all levels of our organization. This exposure will provide a unique opportunity to see the breadth of things you can do in HR. You will also have an opportunity to learn about a wide range of HR functions and specifically work on our engagement survey, employee events, support for our recruiting team and more. Job Duties: Employee Engagement - Support all employee activities planned by the HR Department to include the summer picnic, social events and other activities. Work to increase attendance at company events and boost social media activity in collaboration with HR team members. Support delivery of and participation in the 2017 Annual Employee Engagement Survey Training program coordination - Support the HR team in coordinating assigned trainings based on the company training program for employees and managers. Ensure all attendees are recorded and documented in the employee's file Data management and process improvement Review assigned processes and data storage methods to assess for efficiency and quality. Audit assigned data to ensure adherence to established processes and make recommendations for corrections and improvements Other HR duties as assigned Requirements: Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Labor and Industrial Relations, Psychology, Sociology or Human Development, Communications and Business or related field Demonstrate college level leadership activities or work experience Work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment Take the initiative, be flexible and have a curious intellect Work as part of a team and communicate and collaborate effectively with people in different functions globally Be self-motivated Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 Preferred Education/ Experience Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery Ability to build relationships Job Posted by ApplicantPro
