This facility has been open for over 30 years and employs over 250 people. This team produces brakes system components for the automotive industry. Overview Provides executive and business partner support to line management by driving formal organizational effectiveness and business review processes and by partnering with HR colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of HR services and solutions for respective management groups. Partners with internal service providers to ensure recruiting, benefit support, training & development, EEO/Affirmative action and compensation support from Central Functions Group to meet the needs of the business. Partners with managers and provides appropriate coaching to ensure fair and effective employee relations. Core Responsibilities: Employee Relations: * Acts as the primary HR business partner for management within the location. * Provides expert coaching to management and ensures timely, effective execution of all local operational human resources work (hiring/staffing decisions, local organizational design, performance management, compensation decisions, talent management processes, employee relations and separation processes). With team support, manages location HR support to all client groups in the location. Employer Branding, Recruitment and Staffing: * Works in conjunction with central recruitment and staffing to fill open salaried positions within the location. Leads HR team in the recruitment and selection of hourly positions to include utilization of temporary staffing agencies where applicable. Strategy and Planning: * Contributes as a member of the client group?s management team to business strategy, operational goal setting, allocation of resources and budget preparation to reach business objectives and expectations. Ensures compliance with HR policies and practices as well as compliance to employment laws and regulations in area of responsibility (including record retention). * Acts as a voice for the assigned client business into the HR management team (policy and process owners) regarding marketplace trends affecting HR, demographic development, and client business needs. * Introduces/ implements new HR related services & processes into assigned organization Talent and Performance Management, Learning and Training: * Leads the location HR organization on initiatives involving: performance management, leadership development, career and succession planning, employee engagement, retention and professional development of the HR Team. Works with local plant leadership to develop and implement training for salaried and hourly positions. Compensation and Benefits: * Coordinates the interface with centers of expertise (CoE) regarding the full portfolio of HR related processes (eg Compensation, Benefits and International Mobility.) * Interfaces with service centers (SC) regarding the full portfolio of HR related services (eg recruitment and payroll). Leads local administrative services, monitors core services as cafeteria, employee transportation, outsourcing initiatives, medical services, etc. as well as other HR initiatives Health and Safety: * Responsible for coordination of all safety and health within the facility. Ensures all legal requirements are met. **Job Requirements** Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field * Operational HR experience including 7+ years of experience in a business partner role with significant experience in recruiting and employee relations. * Experience in Central Functions and Manufacturing business environments. * Proven experience in managing people. Expert knowledge of HR, Labor and Employment law, Compliance, EEOC, AAP, policy interpretation. Demonstrated experience in consulting, moderating and influencing business partners. Experienced in conflict resolution. Advanced skills in analyzing and interpreting policy and provide sound recommendations to the business. Demonstrated success in leading projects and teams utilizing a structured methodology. Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
