Find Your World at Marriott. **Qualifications** **JOB SUMMARY** TheSenior Manager, Digital Merchandising & Optimization will play a key rolein identifying and executing many of the new digital merchandising strategiesfor s full path-to-purchase journey. This role will utilize newand evolving capabilities to enhance the customer s onsite experience through targetedmessaging, digital content and creative. Partnering with the broader eCommerceteam, this role will use industry best practices to identify opportunities tooptimize content and conversion throughout the site. This role will alsopartner closely with the User Research group to devise, execute, measure, andscale various multivariate tests with the goal of improving conversion andrevenue per visitor. Candidate mustunderstand online consumer behavior and have experience using design toinfluence engagement. **CORE WORK ACTIVITIES** **CustomerExperience Optimization** + Lead initiatives with the User Research and Analytics teams to help define on-going tests designed to improve conversion and increase revenue per visitor + Engage a cross functional team to evaluate current merchandising and onsite marketing capabilities and technologies + Working with the Product Development and User Research teams, drive the strategy to continue to build an industry-leading merchandising platform + Partner with appropriate marketing teams (Brand Marketing, eMail, Search, etc) and eCommerce Product Development to devise optimization plans that test, adjust, and scale up improvements + Evaluate current onsite content identifying gaps and opportunities to improve pathway performance **EmergingOnline Marketing Best Practices** + Research industry trends and emerging best practices for onsite merchandising and identify ways to activate new methodologies and technologies across and the global sites + Create merchandising standards and guidelines and communicate key requirements to the broader Marriott team + Thoroughly understand competitive landscape primarily focused on navigation and customer experience and make recommendations to incorporate into business + Act as a SME for merchandising strategy and processes by taking an active leadership role to mentor/train as applicable **WebsitePersonalization:** + Partner with the Analytics and Personalization teams to identify, segment and target high-value customers + Lead promotional marketing initiatives to provide customers with a personalized onsite experience that utilizes highly relevant messaging and content based on data + Lead the team responsible for the planning, development, trafficking and optimization of personalized promotional content on **CANDIDATEPROFILE** Education and Experience + 5-7 years of Online Marketing, Merchandising and/or eCommerce experience + College degree in Marketing, International Business or related field, MBA preferred + Direct experience managing merchandising strategies in an eCommerce organization + Hands-on experience in direct to consumer marketing communications, ideally in the retail and/or eCommerce space + Proven skill in working across multiple and distinct functional organizations (eg, IT, International, Marketing) in support of specific business priorities + Demonstrated comfort with Web Analytics or similar retail store reporting + Effective written and oral communications skills, with particular sensitivity to global communication needs + Strong understanding of A/B and multi-variate testing approaches **Attributes** + Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm + Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, but within a large, complex business. + Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to-market requirements + Self-motivated team player that works well with counterparts from various functions/departments and has the ability to influence the work of counterparts without direct reporting accountability **MANAGEMENTCOMPETENCIES** **Leadership** + **Adaptability** - Maintains performance level under pressureor when experiencing changes or challenges in the workplace. + **Communication** - Conveysinformation and ideas to others in a convincing and engaging manner through avariety of methods. + **Problem Solving andDecision Making** - Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities;
