Ingleside at Rock Creek, a prestigious continuing care retirement located in upper northwest Washington, DC is looking for high energy cooks. Those willing to accept daily challenges, think outside the box and possess a la minute skills. If you have worked in a fast paced dining environment and have been involved with some type of short order cooking we would like to talk with you. Have you worked in aB&I account; Executive Dining, Business Dining etc.? Know your way around a FAST paced Kitchen? Then we need to talk This position is primarily responsible for preparing cold food meals utilizing productions estimates listed on the production sheet. Additional duties include assisting Sous Chef or Chef in the cold production of food items for the Nursing Center meals following standardized recipes. DUTIES Prepares food for residents and visitors for each meal period throughout the day and ensures all food is in compliance with state and federal health regulations. Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation and production areas in compliance with state and federal health regulations. Maintains professional presence when representing Ingleside at Rock Creek; exhibits degree of professionalism consistent with standards in performance, behavior, and appearance. Demonstrates professional development/skills competency in all activities. Complies with Ingleside at Rock Creek's established safety rules and practices. Must be able to work every other weekend, holidays and a variable shift schedule. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED), Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability.
