The Dupont Hotel - Bar Dupont now has an excellent opportunity available for an Reservations Agent to join our leadership team. Purpose: First point of contact for guest services focusing on inquiries, guest services and reservations while assisting the coordinators with all reservation updates and administrative duties that will assist in guest service throughout the hotel. Key Responsibilities: Where necessary, direct calls to the correct extensions and take messages and liaise with necessary colleagues. Appropriately document and report all emergencies, guest concerns Answer incoming external and internal calls with appropriate greetings and assistance in keeping with our brand standards Answer room service and guest services calls and process these requests as appropriately expected in line with hotel standards Process room reservations via email/fax correspondence along with taking reservation calls using standards of service as outlined by company whilst using brand values Follow up with guests and clients to ensure services were suitable and forward guest confirmations, cancellations, correspondence in line with reservation expectations. Re-confirm reservations with clients and guests and build a relationship with customer base to ensure positive feedback and return custom Assist with checking and updating reservation information Complete reports and duties that are essential to the reservations team Perform other duties as assigned The ideal candidate for this position: Bi-lingual skills are a plus for this role Remains calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or high occupancies Resolve complications such as location changes or credit issues Operate various office machines Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred for this role Benefits package: Competitive salary Meals on Duty Provision and laundry of uniform Discounted Health Insurance Employee Discounts Educational Support Employee Recognition Awards The Doyle Collection is an equal opportunities employer.
