In this role you will be primarily responsible for conducting and participating in salary surveys, the administration of the departments compensation management systems (eg PayFactors) and employee recognition system, and supporting the Vice President and Director of Compensation by interpreting salary data and performing analysis to ensure competitive positioning within the marketplace for salary adjustments, promotions, and new hires. In addition, this role will have stock plan administration responsibilities.Responsibilities:Broad-based Compensation1. Participates in global compensation surveys: benchmark submission and evaluation of results.2. Supports the entire Compensation team by researching and providing solutions to internal client issues.3. Responsible for maintenance of the Mercer Prism system. Utilizes Mercer Prism to conduct internal/external job analysis; seeks opportunities to fully utilize system capabilities.4. System administrator for STELLAR - Discovery's employee recognition program. 5. Applies job evaluation techniques to establish competitive and equitable compensation rates based upon the compilation of internal and external information with a focus on non-exempt and professional positions; analyzes data and presents findings/recommendations on promotions and base pay adjustments to the team.6. May be required to collaborate with the HR Management team to ensure they are up to date with Discovery's compensation policies and practices. 7. Participates in special projects (Career path analyses, FLSA audit, etc ).8. Keeps apprised of federal (FLSA), state, and local labor and compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure division compliance.9. Attends internal and external training programs that pertain to compensation, systems or survey forums.10. Performs other relevant duties as assigned. Stock Plan Administration11. Supports the stock plan administration function in maintaining participant data (eg new hires, terminations, etc.) in third-party administrator system and ensures all participant stock plan transactions (grants, exercises, terminations) are correctly processed and settled in a timely manner. 12. Works closely with Finance for accurate reporting including valuation, overhang, section 16 and Disqualifying Dispositions13. Performs routine audits to ensure that all data (grants, exercises, terminations) have been processed correctly. Adheres to all SOX and other established controls, reviewing and updating controls as needed14. Assist in the coordinates contribution files for the Employee Stock Purchase Plan for US and International based employees. 15. Communicates with HR and participants on a routine basis to answer questions about equity program16. Awareness and understanding of equity administration marketplace trends and knowledge of standard internal processes preferred17. Demonstrates exceptionally strong attention to detail18. Ability to be organized and work independently on routine tasks, with sound judgment Requirements:* Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and experience in Business, Human Resources, or related field.* 1 year of Compensation, HR Generalist, or related business experience.* Strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude required. * Strong Excel skills, experience working with HRIM systems (SAP preferred), and compensation management software application is a must.* Awareness and understanding of equity administration marketplace trends and knowledge of standard internal processes preferred* Demonstrates exceptionally strong attention to detail* Ability to be organized and work independently on routine tasks, with sound judgment* Excellent customer service skills with a high degree of timely problem resolution.* Ability to assess processes and make recommendations for improvement.* Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of management.* Ability to prioritize and work on multiple requests.* Ability to manage sensitive, confidential issues.* Must have the legal right to work in the United States* Experience with incentive compensation analysis is preferred
